Does anyone know if this will help prevent the screen from shattering? The biggest complaint is that the Nexus 4 screen and back cracks easily.
Does it replace the need for a bumper?

|mrmexican87||I only got one of the three that I ordered of the full body protectors. I used the Contact Us form on the XtremeGuard page to submit a complaint. Hopefully they correct this.|

Alert ! Alert ! Alert !
Screen protector covers the proximity sensor on the left side of the phone, this causes the screen to go blank when ever you take a call or make a call. Since the proximity sensor is covered with the screen protector it ticks the sensor making it to believe the phone is close to ear/body and turns off the screen.

I received my screen protectors on Saturday and had serious quality issued with my 3-pair that I ordered. For the front protector, the protector covered the proximity sensor so every time I had a phone call,my screen would go blank and never return until the end of a call. This led to multiple false calls that I couldn't get out of. For the back protectors, I had a matted smudge on each protector at the same location.
I emailed customer support and they refunded my purchase. I'd suggest everyone try out their proximity sensors after applying the protector. I was okay with the back film, but the proximity sensor was the deal. breaker.

|mgl888||Ordered 1x nexus 4 protector and 2x galaxy s2 protectors... only the nexus 4 protectors were in the envelope... wtf|

The temporary protector has pictures printed on it showing the power button and volume buttons. Very low quality, and lots of bubbles underneath. It's purpose is just to keep the phone in mint condition out of the box - it's designed to be removed before you even ever turn on the phone.

Still love it, I just have a hard time believing it's GG2 though. My original HTC phones with regular Gorilla Glass almost never scratched..

Pretty good deal. In for 2 screen protectors and 2 full body protectors for my Nexus 4.
Regarding the gorilla glass issue. Yes, it has been reported that the Nexus 4 uses GG2 on the front and back sides, and yes, GG2 is supposed to be scratch resistant. However, the issue is that people have been getting scratches very easily on their Nexus 4s (ESPECIALLY on the back glass), regardless of how careful they've been. The relatively high number of reports is of concern as on paper, it really shouldn't be happening this easily, let alone this early. This has been leading to speculation that that maybe the back glass may of be lower quality than the front, or that the quality of this batch of GG in general is poor.
My suggestion? Get a semi-decent screen protector for the time being until the situation can be addressed by Google or something. For $1 for the front (or $2 for front and back), these screen protectors are literally the cheapest thing you can get right now. Many the other big name brands like Spigen, XO, or Skinomi aren't 100% shipping yet, so this is probably your best bet to at least hold you over if you want to spring for something fancier (though I can't comment on if they're any better since I've never used Xtreme Guard).

If they have an otterbox commuter case or something along those lines, I'd be extremely happy.
