Yes, they work for all IR 3D. Yes, they work with most decent quality media players, which, by default, put all downloaded 3D content in side by side mode and you must set your TV IR emitter to side by side manually for them to work, as no 3D signal is there for automatic setting. (Go torrents!)
The glasses work, they have an excellent polarization filter built in which puts them above anything else I have ever tried, and the only negatives are that they are a little heavy and a little "klunkee" and worst of all, too dang tight. The tightness can easily be fixed by heating up the arms in hot water or with some other kind of warmer, then bending them out so they don't squish your brains out of your eyeballs, then, while keeping the bend pressure going, cool them off with cold water. Repeat if necessary.
What you have here is a definite case of excellent lenses with filters and amazing reception radio for IR combined with low-quality plastic housing that comes out of the box by default in small head size that needs fairly simple fixing for an adult sized head. I missed the $20 deal but went ahead and got them at $30 because they are still cheap for the price and because they work great once "fixed". It is also weird that they only charge when turned on.
Another negative I just thought of is their extremely short charging cable-it is like 6".

These are $29 on Amazon now... still $10 higher than they originally were. Having a hard time pulling the trigger haha
What are the odds that these things go on sale again before christmas? I'm surprised Sony doesn't put out bundles or something to push sale of glasses.. :/

Tested mine out and it worked with Mitsu DLP & IR Emitter, PS3 Glasses & PS3/Boxee
The surprising thing is they worked with my PS3, and with my Boxee! Didn't know Boxee could stream 3D! Now I can stream those movies off my NAS.

I can't get it to work with my Samsung UN55ES7100. I think the current gen of Samsung TVs remit signal via Bluetooth instead of IR. Any input from you guys would be appreciated.
How can I return an opened package to BB now?
