Anyone got a tutorial on how to install this into my 2007 iMac?
Do I have to backup everything from my iMac to an external hard drive?
I will have to re-install the OS into this SSD right?
First time opening up an iMac....need help.

This only refers to 840 pro drives, though. Not much seems to be known about the reliability of the non-pro 840 (the one in this deal), besides what I said earlier.

We still have our 10yo 80gb XP going strong and plan to keep it until 2014 end of support date at least. I would want any SSD drive I buy to last as long as any operating system I may have.

I'd like to thank all the 830 fanboys for helping to drive down the prices of the 840 drives. It amazes me that almost no one seems to have read the [entire] AnandTech review.
And yeah I'm a little worried this $140 free shipping no tax deal is a little too good to be true.
