Is it a better deal than this one (don't really care about the bag)?

|gtrain||BTW, the drill bits are gold ferrous and not titanium. Looked at it today and compared to their other sets.|

Decent Drills and Bits - Junk Case Design
This may sound a bit (no pun intended) off topic but my brother has the 28 piece set with the rapid load adapter. I have vowed never to buy the DEWALT hex shank sets because you can't get the God Blessed drills back in the case without cutting your fingers on them. I mean, they are nice enough drills and bits but what rocket surgeon decided you should not to be able to place them back in the case after use without donating a pint of blood? This is why whenever I use my brother's set I find they're always just tossed in there like a pile of Pick Up Stix. And just in case my patience hasn't been tried enough by that "feature", there's always trying to close the case while not losing the 18 odd pieces that can no longer be correctly returned to their proper location.
OK, I feel much better now.

I felt the need to reply to this deal - I just got back from Lowe's to pick up some hardware for a project I am doing. While looking around the hardware area I remembered seeing this deal. I pulled up the deal on the Lowe's site, got the item number and had the clerk show me where they were. There they sat on the shelf with the $49.99 price tag.
I showed him the $25 price online and he told me that I needed to get it online because the website and the physical store are 2 different things; each have their own discounts. I couldn't talk him into price matching so I ordered and paid online choosing in-store pick up. I carried the bits around while continuing to shop until I got the "your order is ready" email.
It's a nice set in my opinion as I have needed to pick up some more Phillips heads as they break on my woodworking projects.

|dcobb||I prefer a larger 1 piece set rather than 4 smaller ones which just seems more cumbersome|

The web site actually says that it is a new lower price, not clearance.

|buening||Be careful with the yellow labels at the actual Lowes stores. They have their yellow "clearance" labels and they have their yellow "new lower price" labels. The new lower price on the label is pretty small and easily overlooked, and have been burned by this in the past. I'm not saying these aren't clearance items, but check the yellow labels in the stores to see what it actually says|

|ULTiMaX99||i bought this set during the pre-bf sale. ended up returning it cuz the plastic that holds the bits in place is retarded. it's a little difficult to put the bits back in the holders.|
