|12-09-2012 01:51 PM|
Got it two days ago and already sold the driver with battery for 60$ on craigslist. Now I can replace it with an impact driver DCF885 for about the same price on ebay.

|iancole||Sold the 20V on eBay and keeping the 12v for free. Actual cost 72 cents. Money.|

The drill/driver in this kit is the same - so to speak- as the XRP 18v drill/driver (metal internals)...and just as heavy duty (and heavy. lol)
The 1.5 ah 20v batteries may be similar to the compact 18v but are Lithium Ion...
So, the 20v portion of the deal is, imo the XRP....

|roykim78||Damn, I had to pull the trigger on this one after contemplating for a few days. I currently have a DeWalt 18v XRP Lithium ion drill (Hammer/Drill/Driver). And although that thing is an amazing drill, I was getting tired of switching drill bits and screw bits back and forth when woodworking, so I really wanted to get a second drill. Too bad this one isn't XRP, but I love Lithium ion batteries and this set will go well with my current drill. So much cheaper than Amazon, which is becoming more and more disappointing in terms of price.|

Just get a compressor that doesn't leave you waiting for recharge
I might be more inclined to go with Ridgid instead of Ryobi...fwiw...if making the decision to use air.
I don't think I could deal with air for impact driver...battery is just too portable and easy...but just my opinion.
Once you have the air compressor you are going to find an entirely new obsession. lol
