"Boooooo, BOOOOOO... rubbish, filth, slime, muck."
Why did I buy this at $10 when it was just half the price a couple of weeks ago and even now has dropped back to $8?

As others have said (and been ignorantly chastised for doing so), this is a great movie but the bluray is a pretty bad transfer. Movies shot on film don't magically turn into sharp high-def digital, they have to be transferred.
In many cases, the transfer is not very good. Hopefully technology will improve and we will see more consistency in the transfer process (film to blu-ray) and in the future we will consistently see good quality blu-rays of older movies shot before digital cinematography. It can be done, but with these older movies, I think the studios are just trying to get a BR out and don't care how good it looks.
I gifted my BR copy of this movie, it was grainy and comparable to watching the DVD upscaled.

Anybody know if there is a difference is between the 25th Anniversary Edition blu-ray and the blu-ray version included in the Blu-Ray/DVD combo that was previously available?
When this came out, it was on sale at Target for $10, but right beside it was the previous dual copy version for the same price. I couldn't see any additional extras listed, so I grabbed the dual copy.
Anybody want a peanut?
