Hi, has anyone de-crapified (removed bloatware) from this laptop?
I see first and foremost mcafee, even though it is not in tray anymore, i see it is running.
Also there are stuff like lenovo photo (just a store to sell prints) and a few others.
Did anyone remove mcafee? Do we need any tools or just uninstalling going to be enough? Sometimes they leave a lot of crap behind.
Of course, while I am trying to remove bloatware, I get more crapware from Microsoft Store, there are a lot of nice games/apps, I suggest you guys take a look at them.
Aside from above, I see that wifi takes a bit of time to turn back on when you wake up from sleep or hibernation, does anyone else have the same problem? Wifi was not even working for me until I installed the manufacturer's own wifi manager and drivers (not Lenovo)

|akatti||I haven't unboxed my machine yet. For those of you who have, how is it working so far? Good, bad, ugly?|

I thought about pushing them, but I don't know, it's holidays and all, they might actually lose money if I pushed so much.. I thought to myself, would I have bought this even if I knew it was dual core and not 7200rpm, most likely yes.. so I will let them go.

noticed several of the specs listed on the product page are inaccurate. Namely, the processor is
dual core (quad core listed), there is no Bluetooth, and the hard drive is 5400 RPM (7200 RPM

Via phone they told me I could return it and that they are sorry..
Via e-mail they told me "thank you for letting us know, we will request correction"..

For anyone returning the "fake" quad core laptop, this is a possible alternative. I have Staples swap the $100 coupon, plus other discount available, making it $400, which is acceptable to me for a everyday use quad core machine with 6GB memory and 750 GB hard drive.

|Nate650||Staples offered me a $25 coupon in response to the spec inaccuracies. Good company; rivals Amazon's customer service.|

Those who complained, take a look at this, the only major difference I see is the SSD.
Minor differences are backlit keyboard, bluetooth and win7, it is more than double at $700

3k ram? Is that real? I used to use the avira in the past, that thing was OK.
honestly the only thing they need to catch are the major viruses anyway.
I will certainly look into avira, thanks a bunch! Rep.
We are trying to get together and complain to Staples about specs mistakes. Anyone joining?
