Been playing with this since Monday 10th. Ordered it on Thursday 6th.
Used up > $62 worth of coupons/rewards.
Can't complain... love the Nexus and Staples order was easier than I thought.

Nook HD has the highest display resolution ever for a 7-inch tablet at 1,440 x 900, besting the 1,280 x 800 display of the Kindle Fire HD (and Nexus).
The Nook HD is a bit lighter in the hand than the Kindle Fire HD, too, and it comes in an attractive shell casing so that when you hold it, you don't get fingerprints on the front of the glass.
The Nook HD costs $199 for an 8GB model and $229 for a 16GB model. Both come with expandable storage options, so you can stick an SD card with up to 64GB of content into the device (this is not available on Kindle or Nexus.)
The Nook 9" Nook HD+ has 1920 x 1,280 display and can play movies in 1,080p HD. It's also nice and light, at 515 grams. For reference, the new iPad weighs 652 grams and is noticeably heftier.
Nook HD+ is the lightest full HD tablet ever invented.
Nook HD+ costs $269 for a 16GB model and $299 for a 32GB model (less than corresponding Kindle models.) Both also come with the option to expand your storage with a microSD card (again not available on either Kindle or iPad or Nexus).

|nitenichiryu||I called Staples as well and they said that they have a large backlog and they're getting through it slowly. They said to give it a day or two and it should go through...|

|stm69||Researching is generally not great. Best case, it delays your order, worse case it gets cancelled. If it's a delay, it will either get cleared in 2-3 days, or Staples will call you to confirm something (e.g. address verification). If cancelled you'll get a call most of the time too.|

My wife filled up her kindle fire (8gb) pretty quickly.
All she did was put 2 movies for the baby on there along with about 10 albums of music and about 25 books. Then she downloaded the Angry birds and about 5 other games.
Now whenever she wants to download a new movie or app she has to delete a movie that the little one likes.
8gb is NOT 8gb user available. It's 5.92 gb. So really 8gb is a joke if you really want to utilize the tegra 3 graphics and true resolution of the tablet.
If you plan on keeping the tablet for 2+ years - then I highly suggest spending the extra $20-30$ for double the storage.
Especially if you have kids that watch the same 3-4 movies/shows over and over again.
80 apps/games on 5.92 gb? That must mean a lot of the apps you have are like calculator, note taker etc because if they are any real 3d games or google maps (40mb) then you'd be out pretty quickly. Need for speed is 600+ mb So that's 10% of your tablet right there.
I guess if you want to spend 200$ on a tablet and only be able to have 10 games at a time, have to uninstall, reinstall everytime you want an 11th game then I guess that's ok.
