NM, just saw the FP deal...

2) The "big deal" is they are forcing me to "register" for marketing emails in order to get access to firmware, which is irritating, and the process is unnecessarily time-consuming and complicated, which is more irritating. And the icing on the cake is that the process was broken after all that - they're publishing an outdated version of the firmware. This is the same reason why I refuse to buy from websites that refuse to provide a mechanism for finding shipping costs before the very last screen prior to purchase.
It's not about the *quantity* of time spent, it's that they are showing disrespect for their customers. They took a check for newer firmware, which should have been a very quick process (or even, dare I say, automatic), and turned it into a pain-in-the-ass waste of time.

Funny, either way it takes me about 30 seconds to sort through a day's worth of spam mail (specifically the mail that doesn't pass through the spam filter), so what's the big deal? It takes longer to go through all the SD alerts I receive about "price mistake" (lol)

So this is funny... I went to check the foscam website to see there was newer firmware available, but they don't make firmware downloads publicly available; you have to register your email, wait for them to email you, click the emailed link to confirm your email is valid (so they can spam you I'm sure), then wait for them to email you *again* with the DL links.
Funny part: the "latest firmware" links they sent me were *older* than the firmware that came on the cam (184.108.40.206 vs 220.127.116.11)!!

Ok, So I placed my order on 12/12/2012, and today I go to HomeDepot.com to check out where my package is. I notice it says "Delivered."
Huh, that's weird.
Then I notice "Out for delivery: Philadelphia, PA"

|steeevoboy||Now I don't even have a date that they think it's going to come. All it says is it's last location and (Weather conditions might delay delivery of this shipment. This is the most current information available. Please track again later for status updates). I got this as a gift and since I ordered it on the 12th, I thought for sure it would be here by the 24th. Bummer!|
