My LBP6000 arrived a few days ago, just got it going tonight,
Very nice, fast, quiet, and cheap.
I would grab another for family if this came back.

If you consider making $10 in a year, cash or otherwise, to be worth writing about, I'm sure you have enough free time on your hands to convert ink rewards to cash. I do it with mine, and get free paper in the process via FAR purchases. So it just adds to my profit...it's not a disadvantage.
For example, I'm printing out color photos (as we speak) for the school play tonight. They'd cost $100 to get printed at Costco. I get them done with free ink and free paper. Boom...just saved the school/parents a Benjamin. And I've replaced two cartridges so far and not gotten a drop of ink on me. You couldn't do that on laser if you wanted to.
And as I mentioned, I had your exact same issues with refilling my toner cartridges as you appear to have reloading ink. I'm not sure how you procure your toner, but reloading it is an outside job. Replacing ink cartridges (pre-filled) is not the messy process you claim it is, and certainly not much more of a hassle than replacing a toner cartridge. Is reFILLING ink a pain? Yes. But recycling to make money here isn't messy.
So yes, to each their own...but let's keep the facts straight.

As for my $10 profit, I was speaking about using a printer for an entire year, then selling it for $10 more than what I paid. Since I'm selling a COLOR laser for $50, it typically sells in an hour or so. Will you "make" more money than me over a year? Perhaps, but mine is cash profit, while yours is ink credit, of which I have plenty.
Besides, no profit at all is worth not having to deal with ink all over my suit, hands, cat, or carpet. Kudos to you if you enjoy the headache and utter mess of changing cartridges every day, but I'd rather just buy a printer, use it, never be forced to open it up, and spend my time doing other things than cleaning up ink or running around in maid's clothing and gloves.
To each their own.

You can find these for around $50 if you look around.
At eCost, they are selling them at $49.99.

What's wrong with just saying "Where do you put the code?"

Hard to justify having a second printer in the house "just to have a laser". Never mind that color printers can't do photos worth a damn.
You're patting your back over making $10, a YEAR? And you're griping over 60 cents per cartridge, which equals $10-20 a MONTH? Odd math you're using there.
