Now by having the settings for temps below boiling you are saving time and money/energy. Green tea water ready in 90 seconds versus about 7 minutes. That is even before comparing it to the savings of making drinks at home compared to going out and buying it somewhere else.
If the unit prevents you from buying X drinks somewhere else or for every twenty green tea boils you save one hour of wages. The units quickly pay for themselves. If you are a tea drinker, especially green or herbal they newer units with variable temp settings seem like a great bargain.

|funkadelic415||Great price on this. Wife uses it every morning (for the last 2 years) to get the right water temp to steep her loose leaf green tea. Buydig had it for $79 shipped on Black Friday (which I bought), but this is the lowest I've seen from a reputable retailer.|

|alltooeasy||Good price! I own this kettle for more than a year and love it. Aside from all the temperature settings which do mean a lot to me for loose tea making, it heats water up really fast.|

|z32tt||I feel like those different temperature settings make no difference in making tea. $65 for an electric kettle is ridiculous.|
