I am an Information Systems professor at a major University. My research areas are understanding how people interact with technology. I have published my research in top information systems journals such as MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research. Of course, I am an avid user of SD.
Have you guys done any studies to understand the impulse purchases (that we all know are rampant at slickdeals) and tried to understand how they influence you business model? Do you have any other questions that you have tried to understand about user behavior on your site? If you are interested, I will be happy to collaborate with you to understand them.

I just couldn't resist applying for the Content Manager position. Getting to work for/with Slickdeals would truly be a dream come true.
True Story: Way back in the long long ago time of about 3 years ago, I was hesitant to shift gears and start my current career but it was my late fiancee that convinced me I was perfect for the position and had to take the job. How did she convince me? "You spend all day combing through Slickdeals and figuring out how to save us money, why not get paid to do it for other people, on a much bigger scale? I mean, how many bottles of shampoo and boxes of fusion razors do we really need anyway?" It wasn't long before I realized she knew me better than I knew myself and now, three years later, I've had my hand in saving our clients millions of dollars all while having a blast doing it. Just about the only offer in the world that could get me to switch careers again, would be one from Slickdeals.
I hope to hear from you SD.
I lived in LA for 5 years and practically lived in Las Vegas (great story) for about a year. Just tell me where to come for the interview .

Has there been any progress in the candidate selection process? I have not received any notification or even a confirmation that my resume was received.

Froot: That's what I would've said.
SD Hiring Mgr: That's what I believe. Well of course, having a Masters degree and research to my name, that belief is what gets me going, day in day out.
