|ROKET||GMG is one of the easiest buying experiences out there. Add to cart, apply code, pay with Paypal. Safe and quick. Got my code in seconds. Get Paypal people, its free and can be tied to your debit or credit cards. No one gets access to the cards but you get to use them to buy almost everywhere. No transfer wait times either if you use your debit card. Been doing that for years now.|

I couldn't get my Visa to go through, but PayPal just worked. I've been looking at this game for awhile and decided to try it out since I must've missed the old version back in the day.
I picked up FTL (from Steam) as well -- love that game!

I loathe their crummy payment system. Did the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, finally getting the payment to go through on my phone. Today, not even that works.
Opened a ticket for the "Order not Complete" and "Gambling Site" errors, and got back this message: "We've detected multiple anomalies with your browser..."
Anomalies my butt. Their system is fubared and they don't know how to fix it.
Glad for all who got it, commiseration for the rest. Hope I can make it work some time today...

So with that being said, unless you must have it, I would simply wait till the DLC goes down in price to around $2 or less. It might take a while, but judging by how the DLCs for Civ V have come down in price, it might take a year or so. But if you are like me with a huge backlog, I don't really mind the wait. Plus since X-Com is on the way to maybe becoming GOTY, it might be included in some future GOTY version which being a steamworks game, maybe upgradable without having to re buy the base game.
Edit: There is also some extras to change the armor and decor of your soldiers, but that's about it.

May or may not match up with the original but to offer at least 40 hours of engrossed game play, it's worth it in my book.

GMG always triggers fraud alerts of merchants using Mastercard's system.

Wow! insulting TFTD...How can you say that when it was the same game as the original only underwater??
I am contemplating getting this even though I already have it for XBOX....is there any reason too?
My take on this remake is:
The combat game-play is way better than the original, better graphics, mechanics etc.
The Base and all other game-play outside of combat is not as good. I miss having multiple bases and transfer items...having the bases attacked etc...
Still a very fun game to play though...definitely worth this price to get!
Just my 2cents
