I was able to sell the Quicken on eBay, for a net profit roughly $19-20. So my net out of pocket for TT w/state + efile is like $6-7 bucks for me. The free Quicken and apparently free McAfee make this deal much better. If I would have gotten the McAfee, I probably would have made a profit on it as I'm sure others are doing.

Edit: So here's the rundown of the actual pricing for everything:
Total: 112.31 for Quicken, Turbo Tax, and Mcaffee
-10.70 Amazon Price Match Refund w/ Tax
-40.00 Easy Rebates from Staples in the form of a Card
-40.00 from Mcaffee Mail in Rebate
Total comes out to $21.61
+8.00 for the 25 off 75 coupon which after everything is $29.61.
Oh and using shopdiscover was 5% CB so.....$5.63 back? If it even works.......with the two coupons I used.
Now, anyone here who wants a copy of Quicken or Mcaffee? lol.

I'm a little confused with the Staples Turbotax Deluxe version and the same one on the other sites - costco / amazon.
The staples says one user, while the others say 5 Free Federal E-Files and one download of a TurboTax State product. Is 5 federal and state download not included in the staples deluxe version?

I tried this but they are calculating the rebate with the new price and refused the match.
Any ideas how to get around this?

A GREAT alternative to TurboTax is TaxAct.
I've used them for approximately 8 or more years now. I had one state return challenged by the State of Ohio's Revenue office and I submitted it to TaxAct for their review. They responded to both, me and the State, and the state's revenue agreed with TaxAct's response.
Just my two cents.
