Got in a pair of X41's from 1SaleaDay yesterday from the last time they went on sale (bought them for $65 shipped on 12/16. They shipped on 12/26 and arrived on 1/3).
I gave my old X41's away as a Christmas present when Best Buy had Turtle Beach's top-of-the-line Tangos on sale for $200 a few weeks ago (along with another $30 off for getting BB to price match Staples 15% off headphones coupon they had out), and then I bought this refurb set the last time for a buddy's belated Christmas present.
Honestly, I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse on the Tangos. The Tangos do sound great - very cinematic at times, with really good lows. However, they had a lot more close-off feel to them, which makes it almost impossible to hear when someone else in the room is talking to me now, but more importantly, I feel like I'm wearing headphones and listening to a game's audio track. It might have something to do with the air pressure wearing more sealed-off cans than with the more open ones on the X41s, too, but with the X41s, the sound field felt wide and open enough that I really felt like the sounds were ACTUALLY around me. I didn't feel like I was listening through headphones ... I felt like there was a crapstorm going down in my own living room, and I'd better duck and cover.
Yes, mine popped a good bit at first until we figured out that my wife using the laptop in the same room was interfering with the X41's, but man, did they sound good.
Do the Tango's sound better? Yes, in some respects. Do they PLAY better for games? That's pretty subjective. In some ways yes, in other ways, no. Are they worth $100+ more than the X41s? After almost a month of playing with them, I'm going to have to swallow my fancy-headset pride and say no. Not at all. With the X41s, I was constantly excited about using them and how they sounded. With the Tangos, I find myself often wishing things on them sounded more like the X41s, and constantly comparing them to each other (I keep changing back and forth between them during game play to see which I prefer).
I'm planning on testing more this weekend when I have more time to play without interruptions, but let me just say from someone who has used the X41s for a year (originally got them for $130 as a present from my wife in Christmas 2011), and has recently switched to the Tangos ....
For $60 shipped, if you play FPS games on the XBox, you will NOT be disappointed as long as you can eliminate any potential wifi interference you might have. These headphones are EASILY worth this price. And the refurb unit I bought from 1SaleaDay has worked great and came in a nice box, too. Now I just have to decide how long to keep them before I give them to my buddy as his present. Heh.

|kreene1987||Have these and they click a TON if you have a wireless 2.4 device in the same area. With my wireless being in another room I have to leave my cellphone on the otehr side of the room otherwise it clicks a lot on the headphones. Other than that they are AMAZING for gaming, and give me an excuse to not answer the phone while gaming (which is over 5GHz, no problems there).|

I have had these for about a year and will throw my review into the mix... These are NOT an audiophiles headphones!
I like 'em for gaming but the aforementioned static is terrible for music listening if you have a picky ear.
For 1st person shooters, however they rock! Please note that you will still have a wire connecting your headset to your controller.... Something I wasn't aware of when I purchased em.
Hope this helps
