I don't have time to figure out how to post a deal so let me throw it in here and if somebody wants they can post it if it is a deal. KMart has a Char-Broil 6 burner with sear for $200 down from $400. I can't find it online but there were at least 4 plus the floor model in the Sevin Hills, OH location. MyGofer shows it for $200 but only shipped. I don't see a difference between it and the new one listed on KMart.com except the new ones seem to be going back to black from SS. At $200 for a huge grill, a couple of seasons is all I need it for.

|jefash||I have had a 3 burner version for 2 years now, it is starting to rust, but everything cooked on it is great, way better than a regular grate gas grill. it is impossible to burn things from flare ups, and to clean the grates just pull the grate assembly out and smack them together,I just wish it was made with thicker/better stainless steel, but even tho it's low quality i will buy it again based on the way it cooks food, it is that good at grilling|

this is not the end of grilling season from a sales perspective. If you want a great deal on a grill, shop at the end of the summer sales season. Seems to be sept/oct/nov from what I have observed in past years. The same time of year that retailers are getting rid of grills, outdoor furniture, etc.
really - I am just playing with you - but you really can get clearances on the "premium" brands like Weber, Dyson, Kitchenaid, etc. It may be harder, but it certainly happens. Didn't want you giving the wrong information to anyone shopping for such a thing.
and I did post the link you asked for in post 48 of this thread - a weber genesis on clearance for under $200 - but it was not technically within the last year so you are proven right. But myself and number of other will enjoy grilling on our $200 Weber Genesis grills that don't exist.

finally put mine together, and cooked on it last night. entire meal was done in less than 10 minutes. love it.
btw, I had the 3 burner before, and it lasted 4 years. Gave it away after upgrading to this beast.

Meanwhile (and I am not trying to be a spokesperson for Weber) my uncles, father-n-law and cousin all have Weber grills that are holding up strong. One of my uncles bought his in 1999 and its still working great.

My only 2 complaints: I love rare steak, hard to do with this baby. It cooks so even, everything comes out medium in a heartbeat. That being said, it is ALWAYS juicy and tender, so rare is not so important then. AND the dial markings will wear off. Mine lasted a year, covered 24/7-365 days when not in use. HD employee warned me, and i was careful, but one day while washing outside down with warm soap and water, all temperature marking washed right off one dial.
I paid ~$500, at $250 this could be a steal. My HD model has pans with no holes under the grates. Maybe that is what sucks about the Amazon, Lowes and Sears models? Might be worth retrofitting, although the "troughs" are $50 (x2 for my model) on Char-broil website. Might be further ahead to grab one at HD.

I had a charbroil infrared that I got from a homedepot clearance slickdeal a couple years ago. It was a gigantic piece of crap and incredibly cheaply made. The side burner stopped working after a season and all the knobs just felt so cheap, also the markings on the grill itself to let you know what the knobs do were already fading off to the point where you couldnt make them out and it was only one season old.
For the cooking part, I was excited to try out the benefits of infrared. What I basically found it out to be was a gigantic oven. Another annoyance was that you needed to basically turn on both burners on high in order to get high enough temps to do a proper sear, I felt like I never was getting the thing hot enough. I was immensely disappointed with the thing and that was even after I only paid 130 dollars for what originally was a 799.99 grill.
Luckily though I managed to ditch the thing on craigslist for a tidy profit and I bought myself a charcoal weber grill. Now I could go on and on how much I love the charcoal weber and how much it actually makes the food actually taste better, something you don't get from the infrared since like I said before it's a glorified oven.
I really don't even like to call the damn thing a grill, it's a grill in the sense that you get one of those pans with grill lines on it and stick it in the oven.

|Cuteathlticguy||I can't believe it's only $250, I got it on sale 3 months ago for $379 and thought it was a good deal! In case, it's a great product|
