I got mine a few days ago. As far as I can tell, it's running perfectly in my MacBook Pro. I haven't done any formal testing, but it's pretty fast and hasn't given me any trouble.
It also doesn't seem to have any issues with sleep/wake that I've read about, although I don't know if that was a Windows-specific issue.
Now I'm just trying to cancel the stupid trial membership/whatever that the friends12 code apparently signed me up for. Anyone else have any insight? I've contacted their customer service, but haven't heard anything from them in six days...

now I can also tell the difference. Before it was slow for everything, and now it's smooth...thanks a lot! I have two drives, will see if I have to also do the other one

I thikn I have the same one, thuogh not sure how to verify the controller
but windows does report it as CSSD V60GB2 so looks like the same one
I've had problems where my computer just stops responding, etc...
i think i'm going to try it

This worked for my Nova 2 SATA II SSD (maufacture number: CSSD-V60GB2), which used the Phison S5 controller. Please double-check your controller, etc, and use it at your own risk. I can say that I almost gave-up and was going to use my drive as paperweight because of the slow-down, stuttering problems--totally runs fine now.

|Instinct408||I just got the drive in the mail and here are some test results. Link|

|TheMoreYouKnow||I currently using an older Nova series (SATAII) on my laptop; though it doesn't use a Sandforce controller, it have slow-down and stuttering problems (very common with this certain drive), and Corsair never addresses the problem, no bios updates, etc. Downloaded a 3rd party bios (specific for this controller), updated it, and now it's running great. I will not buy anymore of their products, so if the SF-2100 bug still exist, they may never try to fix it.|

I know for a fact that sleep issues still exist for this 1200 series Sandforce controller for more than just me. The newest firmware is over 1 year old, and Corsair's BIOS setting workaround posted in their forum didn't fix the issue for me.
Who knows? Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones.

|dealstack||hmmm waiting to buy.. sitting in cart at $56.99 with free shipping to chicago.. only 30 days warranty? whats up with that? sigh... im probably going to pass...|

Well - I'm now asking for a cancellation. Not because of reviews but because of questionable business practices.
They accepted the Friends12 promo and showed me the $61.98. I ran out of the house on an errand - when I got back I had an order confirmation showing an order WITHOUT THE $10 off.
Final cost - $71.98
Bait and switch! I'm positive the final order showed the $10 off but of course I didn't screen shot it...Hate to do a chargeback but will if they don't cancel.

I do have three other sandforce drives including a corsair drive which have worked without problems. It's just maddening when it happens. Might be a bug with certain motherboards. The computer it kept dying on was an old gigabyte board with a core 2 CPU.
Just not worth the small savings for the potential headache IMO.

|MrPoohh||Is this a good site? I haven't ran into it yet.|

|Instinct408||I also hear that this drive tends to be good or no good. Anyone know a good way to test before the 30 day warranty? I was planning to run for 2 weeks straight to see if theres any errors.|

In for one. Provided the refurb is good, this is a truly slick deal
The friends12 code worked for me, with free shipping. It does, however, cause you to enroll in a trial for some kind of premium plan, $29/year. I haven't gotten a confirmation email yet, so I don't know how easy it will be to cancel that.
Anyone have any experience ordering from this site? Any idea on shipping times? I'm guessing standard 5-7 day UPS ground...?
Also, I did some looking into the sleep/wake up issue. I saw on another forum that apparently there was a firmware release a few months ago that fixes the sleep issue: http://www.overclock.n

In for 1. friends12 worked, but there was $4.99 for shipping.
