Got mine today and my computer won't recognize it to program it. Has anyone dealt with Meritline for a defective product?
I did end up contacting Meritline who referred me to Logitech for support before they would RMA it. Before contacting Logitech I decided to try MyHarmony.com to program and whaddayaknow the damn thing was recognized. Apparently the 200 can only be programmed via the web while my 600 and 1100 can be programmed by the remote software installed on my PC.

In for 1.
Love my Harmony 650 in my media room but this will work great for the living room.

I think Kalrith summed it pretty nicely. If you need more info, check this product out on Amazon and read the customer reviews. They offer multipe view points from users that have bought this stuff:
You can use this remote as is or buy this just for the IR receiver and map everything onto a Harmony remote.
I have a Dell Zino HTPC which has a built-in IR receiver. I had mapped it to my Harmony 659 which died last month. On the look out for a cheap replacement.

For the Harmony remote, I had to dig around to find the right setting. It was something like Microsoft PC, and I think I had to remap some of the keys. Getting the Harmony remote set up was probably the most difficult part (but still not that difficult). I did it 3-4 years ago, so it's hard to think of the settings off the top of my head.
If you don't need a universal remote, you can probably get a Windows MCE remote plus the IR receiver for about $20.
Edit: I don't use an IR blaster. I turn the PC on and off manually, so the only thing I need for my setup is the ability to control Media Center. Hitting the Menu button on my remote opens Media Center, and I'm able to navigate to all my music, videos, recorded TV, live TV, etc. through that. The Harmony remote allows me to control my receiver and TV as well.
I use a Harmony 6xx remote in the livingroom so that I can use the macros such as Watch DVD to switch everything to use my PS3, but I have a much simpler setup in my office/exercise room.

|kalrith||Thanks OP! This will work well for my computer. I have my computer sound routed through a receiver. Now I'll be able to control both of them with one remote (after I buy a USB IR receiver off of ebay). I'll mainly use the remote when I'm watching shows on my computer from my exercise bike.|
