|ponting||It's definitely not the killer point and shoot camera. But for the price I wouldn't complain.|

Horrible horrible cheap camera! Returning it tomorrow!
Comparing this to my 2.5 year old canon 12mp camera and even older 8mp Kodak.
Why it sucks:
Abysmal color. Colors are so way off. Appear white-washed. Not rich colors, dull lackluster!
Terrible beyond belief auto focus. AF is pretty much worthless if you zoom in for detail! I'm using a tripod, so the camera is steady. It cannot focus on details at close up optical zoom and forget about it when you use digital zoom!
Flash takes forever to charge up. 5 seconds.
If you want to use the timer you must set it for EVERY picture, it turns off after each picture you take.
Below average picture quality.
Lack of adjustable picture settings/adjustments.
What also stinks is that there is no separate external battery charge, only a DC power adapter. Why this stinks is because this means your camera must 'work' to recharge the battery. Ive had chargers fail in the past (busted capacitors, burned out transistors), they are cheap to replace compared to an entire camera. I had a Kodak 3.2mp camera many years ago that recharged the batteries by hooking up a DC power adapter to the camera. The camera died during a recharge. I'd rather loose an external charger.
Judgement: Cheap camera.
About the only thing this camera is good for, is to give as a gift to someone who is a very casual digital camera user, i.e. your Grandma, old parents, or as your child's first camera. This is a camera for a total newbie / novice.
If you intend to use this camera regularly, such as taking pictures with your friends or at parties, or on vacation, or family gatherings, events, etc... you will be gravely disappointed. Your iPhone has richer color pictures.
In my opinion this is a cheap, average at best, camera. Good for a gift, as I wrote above. Not a good camera for a regular user. Definitely not for anyone that is a regular user or has experience with digital photography.
I'd rate it as 5.5 out of 10
Get a Canon. Canon makes good cameras. I've owned many point & shoot digital cameras, starting from a Kodak 1.2MP in the early 2000s. I have always been impressed with Canon's quality and even their warranty!

Picked up my camera today, camera looks nice but I completely dislike the picture quality.
I took a picture of an object at a distance with my old and new camera.
Comparing pics on my laptop (after zooming in a bit), the pic from the new camera was pixelated while the pic from my old camera had no pixels whatsoever. My old camera is also a Samsung with 8MP (years old).

|logic54||This camera sucks neway. Well for the $70 or whatever it might be. Im passing as I watch review for sum cameras online. They are phasing these out for the new cameras for spring 2013. For a cheap deal yeah its fine but for advanced features and better color pictures pass.|

I know nothing about camera's but the Wife, Son and I are going on a cruise in May. How does this camera compare to a cell phone camera. My cell phone camera is only 8 mega pixel and takes 1080p video 1920x1080. The pictures look great but it doesn't have a real zoom feature like camera's do that's the main reason I was looking into a new camera. Anyone got a link or some kind or willing to help me understand the basics of camera's and if I should get one? also I have an old digital camera that's like 9 mega pixels but all the pictures are square and I don't like how that looks. It's years old so i'm guessing the the resolution is very low.
EDIT: Didn't realize it's dead online sorry.
