I had heard that mint.com is an alternative that also downloads transactions. Haven't had time to invest(igate). It is totally cloud based, so your financial life could be at risk should they make any mistakes. I've yet to overcome that hurdle either.
Quicken acquired Mint after it started getting good reviews. Hopefully the goal was to improve things and not kill off/suppress the competition, or corner the market (so they could continue their existing business practices).

OP you should post that Costco deal separately since it's decent and it's the only thing out there for now.
Not saying you *have to* but i'm not going to post it since you mentioned it first.

Since you printed out your confirmation number, try calling in first thing Monday morning. I was very pleased with their customer service center's response time.

Went to my account and my order is not there - We apologize, your order and invoice history will be available within 2 business hours after placing your first web order with this username. Please contact us if we can be of more assistance.
I ordered yesterday. I never got an email confirmation but I did print it out. Did anyone get an email confirmation or did they do a mass cancel and not tell anyone?

|MonEl||I hate Quicken but there are few alternatives out there any better, wish MS had not canceled MS Money, it was way better in every way. BTW, you can get MS Money for free now but it is no longer supported and you need to download your financial data to it from each institutions web site, you can not download directly from the PC as before. Still it does work for many basic needs.|

|hokie123||For those who missed out on this deal, Costco will discount Quicken Deluxe by $20 starting Jan 31 through Feb 24, dropping B&M price to $24.99 and online price to $29.99.|

I've experimented with personalcapital.com as an online alternative, but that obviously is going to raise concerns about storing your account passwords with their site.

Maybe you're not aware of the three year "life cycle" of quicken? Intuit disables your ability to download transactions from your financial institutions after your package ages by 3 years (i.e., in April 2013, quicken 2010 will no longer allows online downloads).
I'm a long time user of Quicken but got sick of being held hostage every three years, and am now on Quicken 2008, refuse to "upgrade". Seriously considering Gnucash or AceMoneyLite as a free alternative.
