|esquire415||Staples is selling their Nexus 7 16GB online valid from Feb 3 - 9. You still cannot purchase it online but you can go their online weekly ad page and there you can click on "Reserve & Pick Up in store" for $199. I wonder why they don't just do this on their regular web page.|

|EdMcK515||I was thinking this could be an okay deal if ShopDiscover cashback worked on it. 15% back would bring this closer to $160.65, but a quick check of discovers site, and sure enough GrouponGoods excluded. Oh well, not surprised that Groupon still sucks.|

Sounds like it's great when it works.
Unfortunately that isn't so great if you consider the quality control. Anyhow, this seems like a bad deal given you can find a new one for the same price or slightly more.

These are great tablets, but you may have to return a few before you get a working model. My mother got my son one for Christmas and it did not power up right away. Finally it started charging, but if you let it drain down too low you would have a hard time charging it again (or even turning it on). It finally got to the point where even if plugged in it would not turn on.
I returned it to Staples and got another and it NEVER turned on. It is supposed to have at least a 50% charge so it can be powered on right out of the box. Even leaving it plugged in overnight would not work. Returned it and got another. This time it powered on right out of the box and has been working without problem for the past two weeks. My mother also had to return one she got for my niece with the same problem. Just Google "Nexus 7 won't turn on" and you'll see all of the various posts.
Again, the best 7" tablet for your money by far, but just know you may have to return it once (or twice)

Man... Groupons really went down hill.
And how the hell can they get away with saying the list price is $260? It was never $260... even before the price drop, it was sold for $249.

I think I still have to pay tax with groupon, but the shipping and recycling fee aren't zero.
That having been said, I'd like to see it more like $170-175 refurbed. And I'm sure that about zero of these went through any refurbishing at all, and are simply the ones with a light bleed or other cosmetic problem that were wiped off and reboxed as-is. So consider them as "used, and probably with some problem that may or may not bother you" as opposed to actually refurbished.

|cjl1983||2 1/2 weeks shipping - never mind that it's a refurb... 199+tax at my local office depot or staples, usually have one or two in stock, I could have it in an hour. Not a deal|
