Saline drips are useful when you wake up dehydrated. You have to know some nurse friends though, obviously

For those that purchased the Sennheiser HD4xx series.. some of you (all of you bassheads) may be disappointed by the lack of bass.. (I was.. with my 428s stock bass)
Please be aware that there is a very simple easy do-it-yourself mod that can really.. REALLY bring out the bass without sacrificing clarity.
I'm still playing around with mods to my 428s.. I can tell you opening up 3 hole will damage your hearing. The bass these things pump out with mods is insane.. Cover up 1 or 2 holes with thin medical tape and you can control the amount of bass you want.. Add in some putty/tack to dampen/control the reverb.. and you got yourself a pair of <$30 phones that can compete/beat out a ton of basshead phones well above the pricepoint.. it's real easy and worth a look for those of you guys on the fence about HD4xx phones.

|MirageXero||I would also recommend the ue6000 over the beats. I just recently bought mine and I love it. It has great sound without the muddiness.|

|machmkv||Got one from the last deal and prefer them over the sennheiser 201 and 202. I wear glasses and I can wear the 419 for hours. Can't say the same with the 201 or 202. And the volume output is a bit louder which is a definite plus.|

|fire2012||don't waste your money on cheap Sennheiser. I have no experience with this particular model but the cheaper models fail after 6 months. I've had two HD 201s and one of the speakers stopped working on both headphones after only a few months. Save up for ATH-M50. Excellent headphones and very durable. I've had mine for 2 years with no issues.|

I've been wondering about getting some more headphones after being disappointed with the Skullcandy GI set that I got a few weeks ago. I'm selling those on ebay now, and I've been looking at lots of posts of headphone deals lately to replace them.
I don't have the cash to lay down $200+ on headphones, so $30 is reasonable. I almost bought these HD419s yesterday, but then I keep wavering on possibly buying Koss PortaPros . They were $35.65 earlier in the week, but now they jumped up to $47.99 on Amazon all of a sudden (but with a $29.99 and $4.99 shipping option).
Decisions, decisions... heck, I may just buy some cheap Koss UR-20 s or JVC HARX300 s and forget it...

I, amongst many of the headphone community, share a hatred towards the Beats line up. And you can't really compare Senn's to Beats. Sound signature, price etc.. try comparing lobster to a donut.
Senns typically go for a more neutral sound leaning more towards clarity. Very refined sound.
Beats typically go one direction. Bass, bass, and more bass. It's one-note bass. Muddy, bloated, fatiguing, uncomfortable, greasy, fresh out the frying oil.. bass.
For $200 (Beats Solo base model price) **and you stating bass PLUS clarity.. I truthfully, wholeheartedly endorse and push consumers to audition the Logitech UE 6000s. Great punchy/thumpy bass in ANC(active noise canceling) mode.. with tons of clarity. It is a closed circumaural can.. unlike the Solo's which are on-ear (usually too much clamp force).. The over-ears make for a wayyyyyyy more comfortable listening time for me atleast. I use them at work 8hr shifts without any problem.
Ok anyway, I'm done rambling, go to your local BB or music store to give em' a try.
