|MadPup||I sent these sucka's back. First of all, the deal is only so-so since $199 seems to be the going price for these now. Secondly, I already have an 18-55mm lens on my NEX-5N. While it may not be as good as these at any particular focal length, it is more versatile and is a much bigger improvement over my point-and-shoot than these lenses are over it. I'll get my money back and put it to a 55-210mm lens, from which I will get more use.|

here are the Panasonic: I tested.
1.) LUMIX G VARIO 14-45mm / F3.5-5.6
2.) LEICA D SUMMILUX 25mm/F1.4 ASPH (standard 4/3 mount)
3.) LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm / F3.5-5.6
4.) LUMIX G 20mm / F1.7
That's why I am concern if I got a defective lens...

Thanks for your info.... do you know how well Sigma lens will hold against dust ?
A friend who had a few Sigma for the Canon said that their lens doesn't seal as good as Canon or Nikon, it is easier for dust to get in... any other suggestion to minimize the dust ?

Weird, I know, but hold fast! These lenses will knock your socks off once you use them.

The lens arrived today. The first impression was it looks quite high quality made. However, as soon as I move it, I heard sound from the lens. It is as if something moving up and down inside the lens.
No other of my Panasonic, Nikon or Pentax lens are like that. I check both lens, it seems BOTH lens are like that. I wonder if other fellow SDers who to these lens have experience the same thing?

No G standard zoom yet. And this is the updated roadmap for 2012. The first one had a high-mag telephoto zoom listed for 2012 release as well. Not saying that people actually need all those lenses to buy into the NEX system, but don't take the roadmap too seriously ;P Once an affordable 85mm and a short telephoto macro come out, I think I'll be set.
