On the other hand, I have a 3+ yr old OCZ SSD that had to be replaced 3 times, although it hasn't given me problems for the past 2 years.

|worthmining||I still have the $99 180GB intel SSD sitting collecting dust don't know what to do with it. Can we predict by this year blackfriday this drive will drop to $200? I can see use of raid on a ton of this drive for database in servers, but now it's still bit pricey. For laptop or home use, smaller ssd is big engoug.|

At the rate these are dropping I can wait a few more months.
My 160GB suits me fine now, but I can only edit 1 HD video project at a time.
My current 160GB Intel outperforms the 1TB SSD I have at work (OWC)

I'm owned 2 ssd 1 is msata cruial 256gb and samsung 830 256gb. I know how the different but i dont think ssd worth $300 for 500gb you never used all 500 gb . SSD good for OS boots and some main software. I think. But spend all money one time around $300 only for ssd its not work out.

Does anybody know if this will work perfectly with a MacBook Pro 15 Mid-2012? In terms of system performances?

I have a 250GB 840 and plan on adding another one down the road when I'm 100% confident in TRIM working and I can get the same price or lower price ($130).
