|jalchin||I just finished Absolution on the PS3. It was a good game but not as good as Blood Money. I have to say that in most of the levels on Absolution there are so many enemies it is IMPOSSIBLE to complete with only stealth kills. It will sometimes provide you with a sniper rifle and then penalize your score for using it! Stupid.|

+ Improved visuals (higher-res textures)
+ Achievements or Trophies
+ Convenience Factor of having them in one collection and on current-gen systems
- Cheats and Codes removed
- Same games, same dated controls
- You already own them
It's your money. I am eagerly awaiting getting home to play them but I think you might be best waiting for a price drop (but then run the risk of not getting the premium edition w/ art book).

My problem is more about... is this decent enough to warrant $$ so that I don't have to dig through boxes and setup a ps2 to play 3 games that I already know I absolutely loved.

As for the other two, they appear to be just direct ports with art assets from the original PC releases, and they look like PC games from 8 to 10 years ago. The product writeup likes to throw around the term "re-mastered in HD", but really they just appear to be relatively quick ports. That's not to say they're bad games though, just that the full asking price, and perhaps even this reduced price, seem a bit high for games that haven't been notably improved from what they were the better part of a decade ago. The same clunky gameplay mechanics and AI annoyances in the older games are still there as well. How much enjoyment one gets out of the older installments probably depends on how much they're willing to put up with these issues, which could make the games frustrating at times, even when they were new. If you're not sure whether you'd like them, it might be better just to spend a few dollars on each for digital copies for the PC whenever they go on sale, which is quite regularly. Or, for those who haven't played it, just grab Blood Money, which is the newest and most refined out of the games in this collection.

Ugh, picked the game up today and it freakin sucks. Or Hitman: Silent Assassin is TERRIBLE. I then tried Contracts which is definitively a step up but by no means great. Controls are really the worst part. Didn't even bother to try Blood Money after that.
I say pick up Absolution instead. Even though it doesn't always have the open world gameplay, it is still leaps and bounds better than all these old games.
