I have never been able to finish this process online as my earlier post indicated.
Last time I called TMobile and after talking to csr for a long time she said it has to be picked up from local store. After I reached the local store they said you cannot pick up activation kit without first activating the card and putting money in the account.
Is that normal?

They do not expire in 90 days. I have found that in the past several months that T-Mobile customer service, which used to be very very good, has taken a distinct turn.
They don't seem to listen well and they do not want to stray from whatever script they deem appropriate to use based on a few keywords that they pull from your initial attempt to describe your concern.
Even if you try to convince them they are going down the wrong rabbit hole, they keep going down the wrong path. Yes, I also believe the T-Mobile rep was talking about airtime minutes expiry.
The cards are printed with the 2015 date, nothing in the terms, etc. on the purchase page contradict that.

The online order chat before you actually place the order is pretty useless as far as getting correct answers. The order chat after you've placed an order and there was a problem of some kind...those reps know what they're talking about. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get to the latter after-the-fact. Anyone know?

I just had an online chat with a Tmobile person, this card HAVE TO BE activated within 90 days. So those who thought it expires in 2015, should double check with Tmobile. Here is my conversation with Tmobile
Ilene: I'm more than happy to assist you. Can I ask for your name please?
You: This kit is for pre paid phone, right?
You: when it will expire
Ilene: Are you asking for the $0.99 prepaid SIM card activation kit?
Ilene: It needs to be activated once within 90 days.
Ilene: You can just get the SIM card right now at a great discount, it is for $20+activation fee in stores, but right now it's for $0.99 online with free activation+free shipping. You also get the free activation kit worth $35 along with it, so basically in stores it will be for $20.99+$35=$55.99, and online you can get it for $0.99 thus you save $55 right now by placing the order, so I would recommend you to get 2 SIM cards right now and use one later on if required. You also get 10 minutes free with it.
You: thanks, my question is if I buy two now, but only use one. when do I have to use the other one?
Ilene: You need to use it in next 90 days.
You: Then why do I need two?
Ilene: It is just in case you require another line in next 90 days.
You: I think you did not understand my question. My question is not After I activate, when it expires. My question is without activate it, when it will expire
Ilene: Yes, it will expire if not activated within 90 days.

The microSIM I got last month did say "Initial $3.34 value" and the SIM expiration date is only 1 day earlier than the one I got this month.

My SIMS were supposed to be delivered on Saturday (2/9), but are apparently in limbo land.
UPS says they were handed off to USPS at a Postal Service facility some 200 miles from me in another state. USPS says they were not. Guess I cannot complain too much, since I paid nothing for them.
I will try to post back if I ever receive them.

|mill1321||Just a heads up that these may be $.99 but I just ordered two and received 1 day shipping for free on the order.|

You activate the SIM, get a number and then you can use the the credit.

|cuthroat||Quick question guys. Can I just pop the micro sim in my phone and use the $3.34 credit or do I need to activate the sim first? I want to test tmobile call/data before I make the jump.|
