|Vinny2006||Not too bad. I set one up with openwrt and installed it for my folks in there 2000SF range. Signal was good, comparable to the WRT54GL I had running Tomato. The Linksys was begining to act up so this was a good replacement. So far it's been working great but it's only been 2 days. Nice deal for $20.|

According to this, version 8 is on the incompatible list...
However, there are reports of OpenWRT working with v8. That sucks.

Keep in mind that the 802.11ac specification is not yet finalized. Equipment and devices that come out this year will be based on the draft, and there is no guarantee they’ll work with other proprietary draft 802.11ac equipment, or that they’ll be fully compatible with the official 802.11ac standard once it’s finalized.
