Why is this thread in deal talk? It's still alive via Amazon; price jumped briefly up to $125, but almost immediately dropped back to $100, where it's been for almost a week.
I received mine (from Amazon) a few days ago, and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. I moved to the 710 over a perfectly good G510, losing the LCD (which I barely used), a bunch of additional macro keys, and the multiple backlight colors (which was a nice option). But the 710 does indeed feel much better. And both have the volume roller thing, which I really like. Also, the backlighting on the 710 - while only one color - is MUCH brighter than the 510 (even at the lowest level). Could be a pro or a con depending on your situation, just an observation.

Some are saying the backlight issue is caused by computers that don't put out enough power on their USB ports. This keyboard seems to need a lot of juice.
I haven't had the issue, but I have a big PSU and a high quality motherboard. I have to wonder if plugging one of the USB cables into a quality 2 amp USB phone/tablet charger would solve the problem for those that have the issue..

As of this posting there are 13 keyboards in stock @ Amazon. Still $99.99.
Edit: 10 left.

Got my keyboard today even though I wasn't expecting it for another month. When I placed my order Amazon had estimated it to arrive between 3/14 and 4/8.
Upon plug-in no issues with the LED backlight keys. All are lit and extremely bright compared to my G15.
This is my first mechanical keyboard and it feels awesome! it really isn't much louder than a membrane keyboard. I honestly can barely tell the difference between this and my G15.
Only con I have so far. All the keys are quiet except the space bar. That thing sounds very different in comparison to the other keys, it's a bit clickety clackety. Overall, very happy. I guess i'll see if they backlight eventually just dies, but I actually don't need it. I rarely need the lighting.
If you're on the fence, get one! it's still $99.99 at Amazon. Thanks again OP!

More mechanical keyboard makers need to put dampers under the keys. This keyboard has the benefits of a mechanical with few downsides. My backlights work fine, but I do find the positioning of the macro keys to be less than optimal. I (and it seems a lot of other users) often hit the G1 and G6 key instead of Esc and CTRL. The easy solution is to just map Esc and CTRL to those keys, but that reduces the available macro keys by a third.
This would be a better product if the macro keys were somewhere, anywhere else. Though I suppose WASD gamers like them on the left. Those of us that just like mechanical keyboards for typing find the left positioned macros annoying. I'd also like the backlight to go one notch lower and for the backlight controls to also control the caps lock, numlock, scroll lock and macro lights. They stay at constant brightness no matter what. Other than those quibbles, so far it's a great product, would buy again and recommend to others.

|finesse||just received my g710+ and played with it for about 3 hours. 7 of my keys' backlight flickered for about 30 minutes and completely died. will contact logitech when their office is open and report on how it goes.|

|rothchilds||just got mine, plug an play, everything lights up, the adjustable backlighting is nice. Not a whole lot noiser than my membrane keyboard I just swapped out, a microsoft sidewinder X6. Keys are nice and smooth good acuation points. Super happy I got this at the $100 mark, I was considering buying one a few weeks ago for the full $149. Unit feels durable, so far after a couple of hours of use I'm glad I made the purchase.|

Just got mines from FedEx worth free ship option on Newegg. Pretty awesome shipping turnaround. Hooked it up, keyboard is working nicely, no led issues yet. Bummer that the USB is pass through and not USB powered..but that was listed in the specs. Other than that everything is well.
EDIT: seems to pickup body oil easily. the spacebar and palm rest have some spots on it which are tough to take off. gonna need to clean monthly with towel and light soap

Corsair keyboard K90 has laser-edged keys. G710+ is not. I am not sure if this will affect durability.
I had Saitek Eclipse Keyboard a few year back. The paint on the keys that I used most got faded away. eventually I can't read the letter on the keys. backlit made it look even worse.
