AMEX or Discover give you double warranty for free.
I remember buying a 42" Dynex because it was "inexpensive" for $600!!! Crazy!
The 42" looks puny and really fat (thick) next to this monstrocity that is really thin...

It became YMMV later in the week, Friday or Saturday, when Sears caught up to it. But, when the deal went live it worked for everyone.
I ordered 3, kept 2, returned 1, kept $280 in rewards. Sold one locally for $650. If I count what I made on the sale of the 2nd TV, and rewards kept in my Sears SYWR account it only cost me $183, taxes and all.
Some people ordered 6, kept 5, returned 1... I can only imagine what they made out on the deal. But, I am more risk averse and did not want to sit on 5 TV's.

It was $510 last month at Sears. Lots of people got in on it. I actually got it for $230, since Sears never took my $280 SYWR back.
Edit: It was well worth it at $230, since it is not true 120 Hz, but a 60 Hz panel with a trick LED flickering, aka "TrueMotion"
Link to last month's dealand explanation on TrueMotion, and firmware update burried in the deal.

When I got my 42" Panasonic plasma back in '07, it was on sale from $19xx, for "just" $1499.

1st bought from ebay through buydig. $899 no tax to CA (still fighting for return and their customer service is horrible)
2nd from fry's panasonic $899 plus tax to CA (returned last night)
3rd from amazon warehouse sony bravia $883 plus tax (liking it)
4th looking it this LG but no matter what not going to pull the trigger over sony.

Obviously, since it's a squaretrade warranty. My point was the convenience factor of buying the squaretrade warranty in the same transaction added with Costco's standard 2 year warranty.
