ALWAYS use Priceline or Hotwire for MCO. Every MCO rental place will screw you going direct , probably more then any other city. They know their clientel is usually a rarely traveled family of four headed to Disney and they take full advatage of them.
go to biddingfortravel.com to get the latest bid prices.

|Babbo||Interesting fact about the Orlando airport....I've heard the gas stations around the airport have the highest prices in the entire country. So many rentals and they all have to fill up before returning the cars. Save a few bucks and almost fill up before you get there, then just top off for a buck or two outside the airport.|

klm code is valid, i've used it several times. if you're concerned sign up for the 'free' program on klm and print out the card & carry it with you.
a few coupon codes preclude you from using the kiosk. You will be able to determine it by what your reservation confirmation states. if it happens and i know i'm not eligible to use that code, i plug in another one.

I want to check the code 8572130 (KLM). Has anyone tried it with success since it is too good to be true for the cost of the rental that includes all the insurance and almost pay nothing for tax.
6.5% of my rental cost is NOT $5.19 so I am very confused and I do not want heart attack when they re-calculate all the total when I am there in March.

Eh, who cares. I'll use the Kiosk.
Nabbed a minivan for 8 days for $307 total. Not too shabby at all.

Couldn't get a good price from MCO. So booked a one way rental from Jacksonville to MCO (there was no extra fee for 1way). Total came to $408 for a week using jet blue airways CDP (1790143) which gave 10% off price and then a $30off coupon from hertz website for weekly rental on minivans. After the $300 in certs, it will be 108 out of pocket.
Now, to find deals on Disney tickets etc.

I get $331 for intermediate car using the following
CDP: JET BLUE AIRWAYS (CDP #1790143) - we are flying jetblue and got this from jetblue website.
Contract Rate Applied
PC: 178570 (Save $30 on Airport Weekly Rentals in Florida)
A minivan would be perfect. Still trying.

|krispsmith||Avoid the airport if you can- if you can find a rental co just a few miles away (like E Kissimmee) you will save a grip of cash! May seriously be worth the taxi fare for one person to pick up the rental!|

Thanks to all for all the suggestions. I haven't decided yet. The vouchers are worth $300 and expire in Sept'13. So, would like to rent through Hertz. I am also looking at option of doing 2 one-way rentals. Costing about $100 each way. Have my cousin's car there during that week.
