You can buy the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows which comes with the usb receiver for $45: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-X...B004QRKWKQ
I think the wireless is well worth it when you have an Xbox 360 as well (you just need to re-sync them to swap back and forth), or multiple PCs (easy to sync them to whichever you want to use), or want to have multiple controllers connected to the same PC (easier to sync 2-4 wireless controllers than having to deal with plugging in cables and having enough usb ports open).

|Thunderpants||Did Microsoft ever fix the wireless receiver for these? They used to blow a transistor in them because the USB port would overload it making it into a paperweight.|

I got it several years ago, so I can't remember if this is the one, but it looks the same
quick edit: I just checked my order history and that is indeed the correct one. I've had no problems with it in the couple years I've had it.
