Handset volume is too quiet for me.
It can be adjusted for each call, but can't be programmed to remember the setting.
Otherwise a great phone system. Bought one with a store issued $5 / $25 register coupon.

If you ordered one don't forget to call AFTER you order and get a credit for PM to AMAZON. It's easier than when they are placing the order since they start looking at the rebate, etc...
I got one. $138 (including tax) - $45 (rewards) - $25 (off $75) - $50 rebate - $18 (PM to Amazon credit) = $0

Looking at the reviews and owner's manual, it seems like 7745 is a good phone. 7645 is the earlier version that has some nice whistles and bells.
Cost $130 - $30 coupon = $100 - $50 rebate = $50 ($6 in tax, $5 for coupon)
Total $61 out the door

FWIW, last January I wrote a pretty in-depth review on my 76 series if anyone is interested in reading it; http://arstechnica.com/civis/view...#p224519
Some of the features on the 77 series that the OP linked to are not present compared to my 76 review, but they're similar enough that the review might come in handy to someone. Refer to santy83's link for differences between the new 77 and the old 76.

|nomadpp||I have the predecessor model 7643 which is quite similar. I think it's a great phone, no complaints. Link-to-cell is very convenient.|
