A bit ot but a few things:
VD price matches with no hassle. I've been doing this for a while. For my lenses at least there are a few lesser known sites with lower prices. I place the VD order at the regular price with no codes, using shopdiscover 15% cb. Then, price match using the other site's info. It takes less than a day for them to confirm and credit shows up soon after your card is charged.
Astigmatism - have tried them all. By far, best is Purevision. Approved up to 30 days which is great for those who tend to fall asleep in them. I set he goal at removal nightly and make it about half the month. Absolutely the best fitting/feeling lens I have ever used.
Also - for some, RX's are good for 2 years (although I think this may depend on state laws.) When I order from here or AC lens they accept up to 2 yrs. Also, if they can't reach your doctor within a certain time frame they assume it's valid and process the order - not sure if they actually really call or not but that's happened a few times, and I know someone always answers at my dr office, so makes me think it's not always really confirmed/attempted.

To use the 25SHOP, you will need to go to MSN.com (or Bing.com I think) and then search for contacts. Click on the sponsored banner (advertisement) link, it should say 25% off.

I had some coupons that don't expire, so I emailed CS and got this link that cleared everything you might want to try that too if you have a persistent coupon code:
then log out and log back in and viola! the coupon is gone... I was unable to use the 25SHOP thou I'll try from msn

|Gausstat||I am curious how much does it cost to get a prescription for contacts from doctors? It looks like my insurance does not cover vision related cost.|

I was in the same exact situation--they emailed me a 15% coupon which I applied, but then I later got a 20% via email. Then I also saw that 25% coupon (that only works from MSN.com).
I waited patiently for months, hoping the 15% to expire (which never happened, despite the expiration dates stated in emails) and also trying (in vain) to get help from customer service, who just kept sending me the logoff/delete cookie URL. I tried to explain the coupon stays even after removing all items, switching browsers, and switching computers.
Finally I figured out a way...
REMOVE Drugstore.com/Visiondirect.com COUPON (by using it up)
1. Add something to cart.
[I used this for example, because it was cheap. But anything should fine]
2. Go through checkout, make sure the coupon (that you don't want and that's tied to your account) is automatically applied.
3. Place the order [and get ready for next step]
4. Immediately cancel the order online: go to My Account->Orders, click on your Order number, click "Cancel Order"
[I made sure to check beforehand, and luckily they have a way to self-cancel online. Official link ].
It says you must cancel "within minutes" of placing the order, so I did it right away. And my order was successfully cancelled a few minutes after.
Now that darned coupon will finally be gone!
I was really getting frustrated with customer support, which was very slow (~2 days to reply), kept sending me canned response, and eventually just stopped responding to me after a while. I searched Google for a way, but didn't find anything. Finally one late night I had the brilliant idea to just "burn" the coupon.
