|SchwabSqua||Are you guys using a USB flash drive to run these 100+ hour break in sessions? I've had the TV since the first. I haven't watched anything other than full screen for the most part and have the contract and brightness low. I do notice that when I first turn the tv on I can see Samsung in the screen. It goes away after a minute or two and doesn't always happen. Should I be worried?|

I also got my tv today, waited 5 hours for it to warm up, started the 100 hr "d-nice" cycling, and the tv went dark after about 20 minutes. At that point the power light started blinking and the remote couldn't get it to come back on so I unplugged it and when I plugged it back in it turned on by itself. So the problem kept repeating and I called Viera Concierge support sure that they would be able to send someone out. The idiot I talked to told me that since I could get it to turn on by unplugging it that it was not eligible for a service call, seriously I can't believe she told me that. So I asked 2 more times to make sure I had heard right. One of the stupidest things I have ever heard.
So I called Sears to have them exchange it and was told that model was not available and would a different model be okay. So I took a shot in the dark and told her that the TC-P50GT50 would work and she is setting it up. Not happy I got a bad set but if I can upgrade then I think I might be okay.

I have a 50ST50 scheduled for pickup but I decided against it. If anyone in Columbus OH area wants one please PM me. I will take the amount I paid for the TV ( price in OP + tax).
The TV is ready for pickup from store.

According to their website, delivery unavailable and the nearest store that I can pick one up at is over 3 hours away. Ughhhhh!
Any chance other stores will be getting these in stock again? Or are they all gone since the new models are coming?

When I went to pick it up the tv wasn't available at the store so the store manager had to order it and gave me 10% off for the inconvenience. I'll be there to pick it up next week.|

Damn, I had my delivery sceduled for today, Friday afternoon, since I was out of town for a week. Got a message to call about the delivery. Apparently I did not buy a tv that was in store, even though that is what it said, and I have to wait for one to come directly from the manufacturer. Kind of wish I had done the Amazon route. So I guess Panasonic is clearing out their warehouse since I am pretty sure they don't make this model anymore with the new ST60's coming out..
Of course I was not happy since I moved around things in order to be here and paid the extra $20 for an afternoon delivery, so Customer Service is sending me a $50 gift card. Still not happy but the card does help. So did anyone else have to wait for their tv?

Btw, I have heard it is best to keep the contrast at or below 50 for the first 200 hours or so for the "breaking in" period if such a thing still exists. Does this still apply for newer plasmas?

|VictoriaR8970||According to a Sears Customer Service Rep. the $799.xx price will resume March 3, 2013. It was recommended to purchase now (if one is available) and then get 200 credit back on March 3. She said they have 14 day price match. Or to be cautious....just wait till March 3. if you want one of these great TV's.|
