You are better off getting the 9 watt bulb for 4 bucks more. They are sooo much brighter.

Hitlights is running the deal here for $9.99 on their website: http://www.hitlights.c
They use better diffuse lens. Some of the cheap one have color diffuse problem. However, If you buy one just for kids. Cheaper is the option.

If these 3watts are like my 5watts, if you turn of the lights from the wall switch and turn back on quickly, it changes the mode of the light. It may go into party mode. You can do this several times to get all the bulbs in the same desired mode and syncronized. But if you turn it off for more than about 5 seconds, they retain their color mode. My 5watt don't retain the brightness mode. They always get reset to max brightness.
These are not dimable from a dimmer switch.

How many levels of brightness do these bulbs allow me to set with the remote? I don't have a dimmer installed, and want an easy way to adjust the brightness level of my lamps.
EDIT: It seems these things don't retain their settings, and reset to 'Color Show" mode when turned off, which sucks.

|CIRAJOHNTHOMAS||I've bought these to color some vintage (50s-60s) Aluminum Christmas trees. Work good and beat the old turning (Now very expensive) color wheels.|
