Seriously, this may be the first Nintendo home console to flop. It's essentially the same as the current gen systems but cost more and not much innovations. The Wii was pretty unique for its times even thought hardware was obsolete on arrival. Nintendo is trying to do it again but this time, it's nothing special. The only leverage it has against the upcoming competitions is price. It may or may not be enough to win people over. Only time will tell.

There is no point in getting the Pro controller except as a matter of personal taste/need, and/or as an extra controller for multiplayer.

The wiimotes and Pro controller are only needed for local multiplayer.

I am not sold on the pro controller. What would be the point of gameplay without using the gamepad?
Still too expensive for a player 2 dust collector.

Nothin like saying "We wanna be like Xbox" and still avoiding a lawsuit on the design specs. You'd think the Wii could come up with it's own controller. Oh yeah, They did but people liked the Xbox one more. haha Just having fun at Wii's expense.
In all honesty this is exactly why I never liked Nintendo. You should be able to play their games with one controller. LOOK! A shooter, you really should have a gun controller. LOOK! A sports game that needs the Wii-mote. LOOK! Monster Hunter really needs the new "Pro" controller. I love my PC games. A keybord and mouse is all I need for just about everything. They occaisionally port over Street Fighter which requires a controller but if I wanna play a fighter, I'll buy a PS3 (or 4).

|protivakid||I wish the Wii U pro controller would work with the original Wii. Would be nice not to have to use the classic pro dongle'd into the remote plus.|

|Mixmode||Excellent deal on the pro controller. I own 2 of them and they are very well made and work great for games like Madden, Sonic Racing, I forget what other games I have use the pro. Battery life is tremendous.|

I finally will be able to play the NintendoLand games that require the MotionPlus.
Still was rocking 3 old Wiimotes with no plus.
