|fxclm5||Not really a namebrand since sharp just outsourced this tv and slapped their name on it. Google it the remote and on screen menus do not look like sharps|

I still think this is a great deal for a 60" Brand Name HDTV. Granted you will not get the picture quality of a 7000 Series Samsung LED TV but you are paying $688 vs. upwards of $1699..

Watching my Panny P60GT50 right now. What an awesome TV

Until you are a Sencore Certified HDTV Calibrator for 5 yrs....
You might consider yourself "uninformed"...
You get what you pay for...whether 299 for a 50" Westinghouse or 1699 for a Panny Viera TC-P60GT50

|Jza80TT||got this at BB about a month ago for 640, using it in my poker room for a TV in that room. Theres nothing wrong with this TV. Its a 600-700 60 inch tv, to compare it to a 2000+ TV is not a good comparison, but if your looking for a "cheap" 60 inch this is a good value.|

And a rather uninformed and silly one it is.

I think the question is
if you buy a new in box 60" LED for $688...how high should your expectations be?

A. In for 3 from PR-Puerto Rico...NOT. These YMMV deals suck with Sears
B. It's a 120Hz LCD
C. Sharps PQ is horrible as compared to the TC-55UT50 for the same price at Costco. I'd give up the " to get the Panny quality. Sharp will get knocked out of the HDTV biz this year when the big Chinese panel plants come on line.
Samsung(LED and Plasma) and Panasonic(for its plasmas) will be the lone survivors.
Sharp needs to get out of the HDTV biz.

|stormlight||I believe this is not a X-Gen panel. FYI. I have a panel that is a gen before X-Gen and really happy with it. I do not know if this is someone else panel or sharp. Still, a TU for a slickdeal!|

|spydersdeals69||I wasn't sure if this was a good deal or not...then I saw all the exclamation points, which is a sure sign of a great deal since nobody uses them.|
