Thanks. I guess I should of asked if the glasses are interchangeable between the 2 systems?

Basically, passive glasses are like the ones you get at a 3D movie. Two images are projected onto the screen through different polarization filters. Then each lens of the glasses have opposite polarization filters, producing a 3D image for the viewer. On the other hand, active glasses have a shutter system that rapidly alternates between covering your left and right eyes in order to produce a 3D effect. At least that's what I took from it.
Of course, I have no idea what any of that means
