Here's what that Samyang does on a full-frame body:
Great lens, but not ideal for an FX camera, unless you dont mind cropping.

Some people who can't afford the better Sigma 8mm quite often buy this lens for shooting virtual tours and it can be used as a DX or an FX lens, it just determines whether your get a rectangular or circular image.
I actually had the Samyang version which I had to buy through Poland as that was the only distributor at the time. Later I got the Sigma 8 as it is slightly better, but still not a bad deal. The other lens isn't a great bargain, but getting the free lens with the D800 is a nice offer. Not sure why so many people are negative on this deal as the D800 is priced typically and the free 8mm lens is a bonus.
Likewise, even though the 24-70 isn't a great price, I encourage people to put UV filters on front and getting the nice Hoya also makes that a good deal. So they are both good deals, not great deals, but good deals. Deserves a thumbs up instead of all the negative comments.

Looks like they are trying to purge inventory of the Rokinon lens, and "thought" it would be a good incentive to sell the D800.
BTW when I looked @ the post, I assumed I could get the D800 with 24-70 for 1686-

Free DX lens with your FX camera seems a bit stupid...
And 1686 is not any cheaper than anywhere else on the 24-70
