Normally, their Valentine's Day Sale is supposed to be the real sale with the steepest mark downs before the customers swoop in and buyout the clearance stock; but, this Valentine's Day, Kohl's was pretty stingy on the price cuts. Now boy's Levi's is <$10 again and there are plenty of sizes still in stock. I think they will be sold out before further price cuts because they actually are usually sold out at this price; but, if Kohl's screwed up enough, I may just return the pants I bought and rebuy again at a lower marked down price.
Their entire Rock and Republic line is still crazy overpriced even after markdowns. I will wait for the jeans to go to $20 before I consider buying.

"$10 offer can be combined with other offers and will be applied prior to percent-off total purchase discounts."
So I learned the hard way. Already knew that the $10 would come off the total before they give you 20% off....so they make a few bucks, no big deal.
But I bought two items which was buy one get the second one for 50%. So they apllies the rule there as well. Instead of getting the second one at half price the original price, I only got it for half the price of (the original price less half the $10 discount couple).
I guess I'm lucky they didn't just deduct the entire $10 off the second item [only] before they sold it to me at "half price."
Not complaining about the purchase, just a bit surprise they try to take advantage of most people who can't do the math. Sorta diminshes the value of the $10 coupon. Makes me think less of Kohls. Not unlike Cabelas in-store whom I discovered charging sales tax on the original price (and not on the net price) because they treat those discount codes as something other than a normal coupon.

I bought a $22 batik bay shirt and used a $10off$30 mens and $10off30 from newspaper with a 20% off in the same transaction. Total was less than $2.
And yes, your transaction is correct. If you have a two item transaction and only one item qualifies, it will take $10 off that only, and none off the other. Skate shoes are definitely not dress shoes.... She explained it correctly. The computers DO in fact check limits on categories on coupons.

Some stores are providing bounce back cash just like kohls cash. The cashier told me its only for the first $20 you spend whereas kohls cash is for every increment of $50. I was able to do several transactions with 30% off and $10 off $30 and then get $10 bounce back cash to use starting Monday. I also got $10 off $25 in the mail so I'll be using that with the $40 bounce back cash and 20% off starting Monday.
Since there's another $10 of $30 Ending tomorrow with the 20% and bounce back cash, I may go back to get baby some more clothes. Lol.
