|georgekoch||I bought this, and it works fine with my pc. I want to get a second controller - do I need to buy this again (and end up with a second transceiver), or can I connect any wireless xbox 360 controller now (and possibly pick up a used controller or a cheaper controller that does not come with the transceiver, such as this one http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wi...m_cmu_pg_t)|

Anyone know what the difference is with this one for $34?
I'm guessing it's not wireless?

Awesome - thanks. I just got back into gaming a bit on my PC. Have not had a console since the PS2. Had no clue they were the same.

They're the same controller except the usb dongle gives the added benefit of using controllers for PCs.

All genuine Microsoft receivers can connect up to four controllers per USB dongle.
Theoretically, you could buy one 360 controller for windows and three plain 360 controllers without dongles for xbox and use them just fine.

A little confused on this. The receiver that came w/ my Xbox controller and plugs into the USB looks identical to the one in the link.
The one that comes with the controller can only connect to ONE controller while this other one from TOTALCONSOLE can connect up to FOUR controllers?
Is that correct?

tempting for the newegg one. Prefer amazon for my prime shipping but would rather wait a day or two extra from newegg for no sales tax.
Been wanting to get one of these for my HTPC
Edit in for one from newegg.

all you need to do is go on ebay and purchase the receiver for the pc and install the drivers.. You can use the guitar , steering wheel and any wireless controller
good deal if you dont already own one
