|randabear7||$800 for a chopped up used AK? Your'e joking. If I could sit here all day and give this a thumbs down, I would. Shame on you.|

|sydam3||Get what you pay for here. These are junk imo. $200 rifle marked way way up. If you want an AK that is reliable, dependable and not overpriced for what it is, get a Saiga or Arsenal Inc. AK for around the same price of maybe a couple hundred more. I just picked up a fully converted Saiga 7.62x39 for less than this...|

"At some point the gun laws being discussed will pass or fail, and then there will be a glut of semiautomatics for sale, especially on the used market."
- I agree. On ammo too. If the government doesn't use it up before it expires, then there will be a huge supply of used ammo for sale 10 years from now. Remember - buy low - sell high!

Moreover, any federal acquisitions of automatic assault rifles would not directly have any bearing on or cause the "drying up the market" for semiautomatic rifles. They are two distinct supplies of goods. Only panicked conspiracy theorists anticipating the need to shoot at federal agents and people concerned about a ban are responsible for this.
I may not know the future with certainty, buy it is asinine to believe any weapons ban has any chance in passing through the House. The price of guns like this will return to normal when the panic subsides and production/supplies catch up to the temporal spike in demand. It's not unlike the rise in generator prices before Y2K. At some point the gun laws being discussed will pass or fail, and then there will be a glut of semiautomatics for sale, especially on the used market.

|captweedwacker||Feinstein's proposed ban is DOA! Long live the 2nd Ammendment! Expect prices to start falling soon. When they reach a normal level, go all in. Buy the firearms you want and can afford, then get your ammo. Stack it high and deep so you won't feel compeled to panic buy if the moonbats try to take your rights away again in the future.|

I use it for shooting varmints, pesky small critters and paint cans.

What do you guys do with this gun?
Is it for recreation or self protection?

|ArleneMcGinty||A few people here are pretty ignorant of the dire situation we face. Mainstream media and our corrupt politicians have an agenda, and they are using everything in their power to see some kind of ban goes into effect. Don't waste a good tragedy as they say. Our currency looks more like monopoly money every day. Everyone(including myself) is holding onto what they have, refusing to sell BECAUSE prices 2-3 months ago are not prices today. Government contracts are buying up everything in sight. Some companies are actually refusing to sell to Government agencies because they see whats actually going on. Our government is preparing to protect their own interest in the event the system no longer functions. This government is stockpiling massive amounts of actual full automatic assault rifles and ammunition, at the same time criticizing law abiding citizens for buying normal semiautomatic weapons. They are mostly to blame for effectively drying up the market. Add in mass hysteria of the public who can't acquire the weapons they want and your going to have massive inflation on these weapons and ammo . Your purchasing power is not the same as it was last year or the year before.. so it's laughable when I see these post from cheapskate slickdealers who just want everything to go back to normal prices. Sure wait it out a year, and I guarantee you it will take at least that long for things to return to normal.. that's IF they don't implement some kind of ban.. and Government stops placing ridiculous orders. We all hope the ban goes nowhere, but during such uncertain times no one can predict the outcome.|

Fact is, the media and anti-gun advocates are using scare tactics and it's working. There are more people out there wanting these useless things to happen than those who know it won't change anything. Eventually, those in office will crumble to the desire of their region if they want to get re-elected again just like it happened during the Clinton administration.
Those in office are going to try and stay in office, and if they want to be re-elected next term, they are likely going to vote for these bans or else their vote against the bans will be used against them.
Politics is a game. Those who play it well stay in the game. Sometimes, you do whatever it takes to stay in.

|captweedwacker||This is a semi auto rifle. Please stop calling it an assault rifle. Thank you. And I also agree this rifle is very overpriced, just wait for the panic to subside.|

The next step is attacking the ammunition.
Then there there is the UN Gun Ban...
Then it will cycle back around to this again as soon as some other criminal nutjob does something stupid....
Of course thousands will die from drunk driving, someone may run a 18 wheeler through a building or school.. but no one will call for bans on semi's....
