Any piece of electronics can fail and you should be keeping backups to minimize damage incase that happens, no matter what you buy. The fact is IF your 830 dies samsung has a very quick turnaround on replacing them.

Though I don't multi-task that much, with 3 apps at most, most of the time. Don't really need to have 10 apps running simultaneously.

You've got the right idea going; no brand of any model of any type of storage drive is to be trusted. This is why once you've "lost it all" like we all have, perhaps more than once, you learn to always have a backup drive & regularly update it. I'll preach it until that new day comes.

Warranty isn't the problem, its whether I'd trust my data with this model again.

SSD's don't need isolation from vibration or heat. Regular Velcro should keep it there pretty much forever, especially if installed in a drive bay. Just don't put it in the hottest part of the computer. Even the Extreme Industrial Strength Velcro loses adhesion at temperatures above 140 deg F. Every single Velcro brand product I've tried quickly fails when used in hot cars during summer. Instead, use 3M Dual Lock.
Velcro is perfectly fine for computer interiors though.

|Cozmo85||You shouldn't turn your page file off completely as some applications may complain, Set it to something like 100mb.|

Just did similar setup on client system. My numbers:
c: (NTFS on drive 0) * 119.79 GB 93.99 GB free
So about 26GB used. I installed a lot more 3rd party apps than just Office.
Did you turn the page file off or move it to another (HDD) drive?

|ducky2802||Windows 7 only install + office, no PF, Hibernation, or System Restore (system image on a mechanical) is right around 10gb. That said, 256gb seems to be the sweetspot right now for $/gb, but when the next drop in ssd prices happen, I think I'll bite on these 128gb.|

After reading some information about UPS Basic (The cheap $3 economy shipping) it looks like it could be a while!
