ahhhhhhhh i see you do have a good point.... I was going to recommend the 15 inch but its still 1500...
i really wish they would knock 200 bucks off each reg mbp model...or atleast put that 200 in a high res screen and ssd
I Had to get an older 15 inch macbook pro just to make it affordable but i do hope they do that...

Thanks guys. The link is very helpful. So I have to compromise on having the DVD drive. I need SSD booting and optical drive as well. I may have to wait for new models or customize in Apple.com

the reason i have decided to go back to a macbook pro is that i can have two hard drives in them without having to have a 17 inch screen...
i recently found out that i can fit a 2tb hd in it with a slight budge... Im happy now...
But for the record i cant afford to pay 1k so i just got a older model from ebay....

they could but they would have to lower the MBP price.......

As others have said, the resolution kills the deal. Even if OSX is the best operating system by a huge margin, even if Apple builds the best products in the world, even if you can expect this to last you 6-7 years, even if the battery and ram and hdd never needed to be replaced... the resolution kills the deal.
Why? Because my friggin Nexus 4 has the same resolution on a 5" screen! Why invest in a premium computer to last several years into the future when the resolution is already outdated now, and has been for a few years now.

BTW , it's the best tablet on the market so it's not overpriced.
