It's a good deal, but isn't too hot. Prices for these external hard drives have come down greatly since Black Friday 2012. This drive was $59.99 a couple weeks ago, and it's been at the $69.99 price point at least twice in the last two weeks.
If you're in need of the drive, I'd pick it up though. Getting it through Costco is more hassle-free than most online sellers.

Good deal? Seagate 1TB Backup Plus Portable @ Costco - $69.99
Hi fellow SD'ers. I'm looking for a 1TB external drive to use as Time Machine for my new quad i7 Mac Mini and came across this at my local Costco. I know the description is not accurate, but the associate says that is the price for the Seagate drive. Do you think it's a good deal for this portable Seagate 1TB drive (backup plus)?
