Can't wait to play around with it and sold my 18-55 and 55-250. What a space saver!

|a2bondfn||Methinks this is deader than a doornail. Now the price is back up to $399, and my call to the sales rep (after a solid 5+ min of being on hold) resulted in a "sorry, we can't honor the old price" as soon as he pulled the item up...|

It's wrong to say this won't work on a full frame sensor - an extension tube will allow any EF-S lens to physically fit onto your camera body without damaging the mirror or sensor.
That being said, it will vignette like crazy and there really isn't a great need for owners of FF bodies to mount cropped sensor-optimized lenses. The only lens I would ever consider doing that with would be the Canon EF-S 10-22. It is such an amazing lens in a focal range that Canon has basically ignored for us FF users.

Anyone know why they keep changing the price? It was $329 last week, then it went up to $399 then down to $329 and now it's $399?!

|tonatiuh||Bought this lens and love it paired with my Canon T2i. Going to Europe for a month soon and this will be the only lens I take.|

O man...I committed a crime.....First I sat too long and thought about getting this lens for my 5100. Then the price just got increased back to $399. Then the ultimate sin: I called them!
Not even a fuss I told them the price is $329 and if I could use the "madness" $10 off coupon- $319 shipped to my house. Should be here next week!!
Thanks again all!!
PS I have a nikon 55-200 for sale!

here's some samples and with the chart to show the sharpness throughout it's apertures, pretty helpful.

|MikeC6738||I have this lens and love it- pairs well w/ my D5100. I can't believe the price has dropped this far this fast. I would buy this in a heartbeat. Much better than the old Sigma lens which I also had. Not for pixel-peepers in terms of sharpness, but for the rest of us who shoot for fun and print some of our pics and post the rest on picassa, it focuses fast, is decently sharp and though its slow, with our newer cameras, you can go up to ISO 6400 without too much graininess. If I didn't have it already, I'd be all over this.|
