|Misskira||Mine just arrived! Exactly what was promised... Certified Apple and gorgeous. I'm very happy with my purchase.|

|dealssssssss||The deal is dead now. In fact, the whole refurb outlet ebay store has nothing left. Hope it comes back 'cause it does have some good deals especially it doesn't charge tax in most states.|

Given that Apple's website sells the 4GB RAM model for $999 + tax, when originally a new one sells for 1199, you can almost look at this deal as saving $418 + whatever the tax is in your state (as the 8GB model is $100 up).

|twistedtango||Mine just arrived today and it also has 8GB of RAM! I actually just came on here to post about the pleasant surprise and it seems I'm not the only one. Typing this on my beautiful new MBA.|

As far as amazon used, the cheapest they have is $950 and up.

I'd definitely like to jump on this.
For those that received the email, does it state why it was sent to you?

|Misskira||Thanks for posting! I ordered one. Cheapest I could find was an open box at BB for $960. I wish I had that 5% email, but this price will do. with their 14 day free shipping return if another substantially better deal pops up I can always return this one. But I doubt there will better for awhile at least.|

Also, I wanted to say that you may in fact be lucky enough to get a slightly altered (presumably BTO) model that has been manufacture refurbished through this deal. I bought one 3 weeks ago when the deal was originally up, and when I checked the macbook settings found it to be an 8GB model rather than the standard 4GB, definitely happy about that!

how much is this retail?
I was expecting too much when I desire refurb products to be like 30-40% cheaper than retail lol....

The "like new" models on Amazon Warehouse are often still sealed (as mine was) and were either overstock or unopened product returns. Furthermore, you can register them with Apple and get the full 1-year warranty from your date of purchase. Not to mention Amazon's usual 30-day return policy, of course.
I've done it twice with success, and I think you'd be crazy to pay full retail for an Apple product given the AW option - especially for states with no sales tax online. The only trouble is that stock varies wildly, so you have to check relatively frequently to snag the best deals.

What the fark.... On the auction page above the ebay bucks it says take an additional 10% off with a coupon, but I do not know where to find it....
You getting the Amazon Warehouse deal is like me finding a $850 Macbook for sale on Craigslist.
