Forget Dewars man, go for 18 year old and your dad won't regret it ! It's just amazing for the money paid hands down. It's not as complex as some of the 18yr olds, but they cost thrice as much. It's definitely a notch above any blended stuff.
Grab few bottles at this price... It ain't coming back soon and this stuff will never go bad in 1000 years.

still seems to be a decent amount at costcos. I rather like it for the price so I may pick up more.
I've had more interest since i've visited the yamazaki distillery in Kyoto. Picked up a bottle of 18 year yamazaki at the airport on the trip home

available in MA Danvers Costco
The 20 year old KS scotch showed up in the Danvers Costco - they were out of it during the holidays so I was surprised to see it there this past weekend. They only have a few boxes on the shelf.

My liquor cabinet is full of CA purchased bottles thanks to flying back to cali often and you can bring back up to 5L of liquor at a time (2x1.75L and 2x0.75L)

Picked up 2 bottles of both 20 minutes ago.
Since both bottles are distributed by the ubiquitous Alexander Murray & Co, regardless of what any CostCo wine guys says, if the 20 year was Distilled at Macallan, it would say so just as the 15 year does. But for $45, how bad a deal can it be.
