Its alive at sears for 899 as previously mentioned several times. there are coupons for 35 off 800 and 5% / or 18 months / I took the 5% for searscharge if you use it. Its a mastercard btw. Pays for tax and in stock for pickup at my fathers local store.
Also 5% Mrbates back too. So yeah $820 + 8900 SRW rewards points. whatever that equals.

I bought a few items that were used and only the boxes were messed up. Most come with a warrenty or 30day return so no worries I suppose.
Really, if this deal was still going on, how does it compair to http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...e=&seller= which is only $110 more

I also found sears to have it for 899.99.
Should I get this price matched with Best Buy?

I bought about 2-3 weeks ago. Ended up having the local Best Buy price match frys.com's $899 price. Paid tax but was able to take it home that night. Definitely a considerable upgrade from my 2006 Panasonic rear projection model.
The only gripe I have is the DLNA functionality playback using my MP4 movies that I encoded using Handbrake. The movies will play, but it will eventually freeze the movie, say "Please wait a moment" followed by "Cannot read file." The DLNA server is running off of TomatoUSB.... No issues playing back the same files via the PS3. Anyone run into this or know a fix?
No issues with MP3s and photos.
The CEC/ARC functionality works well. When I turn on/off the TV, it will also trigger my Pioneer VSX-1021-K receiver. Also, I like the fact that the DLNA function on the TV will trigger the receiver to switch inputs on the receiver and switch it back to the previous input (not sure why the receiver has to "switch inputs", but it's automatic). With that said, too, if my MP4 has multiple audio tracks, such as Stereo on Audio/Track 1 and DD on Audio/Track 2, if I force the playback into the DD track, the TV will pass through the DD 5.1 track to the receiver.
Picture quality is outstanding (considering what I upgraded from). Used some settings off of Amazon reviews, didn't bother to load the service menu to adjust the additional RGB color settings. Originally wanted the ST50 plasma, but family members like to fall asleep on the couch, and didn't want to have to worry about image retention or burn-in.
2D to 3D conversion is a neat novelty. It came with 4 pairs of passive glasses. I think I watched a few shows using this, but unless I have a 3D specific blu-ray, the glasses will sit in a drawer until they are needed.
The iPhone app feature is nice and usable.
It does have Netflix, Amazon Instant Video (including Prime) streaming, etc. While I don't use Netflix, we do use Amazon. Once the TV and account are registered, you are set. The UI/menuing system is considerably slower than that of the DLNA. But, the fact the wife doesn't have to turn on the PS3 to watch Amazon Prime movies makes her happy.
I was debating on stepping up to the DT50 or WT50, but didn't want to have to pay a premium for glasses.
For $900, it's a great buy. I wanted to buy it before the model was discontinued and NLA due to the 2013 product line-up.
Hope this helps anyone on the fence. I'd buy it again and recommend it.

|Dlauth||On the fence about buying it used in very good shape. I have bought items used from amazon before that only had messed up packaging.|
