I want this but... 2 questions. Max ram? And can the DVD drive be upgraded to an SSD or a blu-ray drive?
(edit) sounds like deal is expired.

2) It's light
3) I can bring it to bed/bathroom and do whatever I normally do.
4) I can work at a beach/cafe/park
5) It's easy to move it around my desk, I can place it anywhere easily.
I do have a desktop, and yeah, technically, it is upgradeable, but every time a new CPU comes out, you need to buy a new motherboard, and often RAM, which is the bulk of the cost of your desktop. The case, the HDD, the power supply aren't that expensive.
Of course, if all you want is a gaming machine, desktop is the way to go.

|sumo28||does this use toshiba specific power adapters or is it universal? i still can't use my old qosmio because i can only order the adapter from toshiba which is crazy $$. i've gone through two already, as well as 1 3rd party adapter and they all melted enough so that they don't plug in anymore.|

I have a Qosmio X875-Q7280. It has 32 gb ram, and a Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor with a GeForce gtx670. I would like to build a faster CPU and video card. I really need help on the question can I upgrade my qosmio X875-Q7280cpu to Intel® Core™ i7-3840QM or higher speed CPU.

I don't understand
How is the smaller screen in the Lenovo better than the larger Toshiba? Make sense please! For my eyes, I won't be gaming on any laptop with a smaller than 17" screen. My desktop is 27" and jumping down to a 15" is too much a compromise.

|dannycoocoo||You guys realize this isn't that great of a deal, right? There was a deal on Newegg that was WAY better than this and got WAY less attention. It was a Lenovo y500 with 16GB ram, 1TB HDD + 16GB SSD, 650m SLI (clocks better than this GPU) and full HD on a smaller 15.6" screen for a price lower than this. The only aspects in which it was slightly worse were the speed of the HDD at 5400RPM (SSD makes up for this IMO) and the slightly higher power usage/battery consumption, which should not really even be a factor, because battery life will suck no matter what if you have a 6 cell battery and specs like these.|

how come 5 years ago the gaming Laptops all had 1200p displays and cards with 256 bit memory bus...
this one has a 1080p and 192 bit bus on the vid card.
calling that card a gtx 670 is an insult to a desktop gtx 670.
from the NVidia website: (gtx 670m specs)
GPU Engine Specs:
336 coresCUDA Cores
598 MHzGraphics Clock (MHz)
33.5Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec)
192bitMemory Interface Width
72.0Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec)
